Everyone possesses psychic ability. The difference between those of us who call ourselves psychics and those who don’t, is in the daily work necessary to develop it to its potential. Most people do hear/feel/see alternate realities but do not trust or honour it which is the first line of what I mean by work. This process is referred to as Forced Psychism.

There are several ways in which psychic ability manifests.  Strength in one, it has been suggested, has a genetic link but I believe there are several factors which will determine how the gift is expressed.  For example, if you are an introverted Aries you are much more likely to exhibit a strength in mediumship. If you are an extroverted Cancerian you are more likely to be strong in telepathy.

I’ve listed a few ways psychic ability manifests below but there are other abilities as well including psychic healing, dowsing, and Shamanism.

Types of Psychic Abilities

Clairvoyance – a supernormal mode of perception when a visual image pops unbidden and unexpectedly into the conscious mind.  There is truth in the visual perception.  In some cases as in dreams, or principally in trance, consciousness is absent.  The images may not only be distant in space or time, but be altogether on another plane of existence (seeing spirits).

Telekinesis – ability to move objects with the mind; light bulbs burning out, cracks in tables suddenly appearing, and psychic healing.  When psychic healers are able to lay their hands on your body, determine the location of the wounding and bring healing, this is the expression of telekinesis.

Telepathy – is the ability to pick up or transmit thoughts mind-to-mind.  It is typically but not always triggered by very strong emotions. Prayer is telepathic communion with higher beings. The basis of sympathy and antipathy maybe be telepathy. It is often telepathic communication that takes counselling to a elevated level of healing and effectiveness.

Mediumship – is the ability to communicate with souls in the spirit world. Inherited mediumship usually appears spontaneously and early in life, like artistic gifts. Its voluntary development requires great care and understanding. The per centage of female mediums is greater than males. I’ve also noticed that those born under the sign Aries are often gifted mediums.

Premonition – a supernormal indication of events in the future. This may take the form of a feeling that’s not specific but more one of a general sense of foreboding, anticipation, and nervousness.  Some premonitions are quite specific – you might have a flash of a car careening towards you head-on along a dark, winding road.  Months later you are driving down that very same road and you know to move over the shoulder to avoid that careening car coming shortly around the bend.
